King David vs. President Bush

Living through such a global event in such a spiritual city – one can catch a sobering glimpse into the national psyche of a frightened nation which is coming to terms with the reality that our very existence has never been in such jeopardy.

Different and proud

There is an immense difference between the “Israeli voice” which is heard at every one of these international conferences and the “Jewish voice” which is stifled and shunned but slowly growing nonetheless in Israel.

An Authentic Jewish Response to an Orthodox Rabbi Who Wants to Divide Jerusalem

Rather than determining your stance based on Torah, Jewish Law, or the word of G-d, you quote “International Law” composed by many of the same nations who assisted or looked away as six million members of our family were slaughtered.

Q: How is it possible that there are neo-Nazi gangs in the State of Israel?

The message is loud and clear: “When the Jewish People don’t have a state, this is what happens to us!” Since World War II, Jews have pointed to the Holocaust as proof to the world that the Jewish People have a right to the State of Israel. Yet now the world is responding louder than ever before “the Holocaust didn’t happen… now what’s your claim?!”

Dear Ari: Dr. Hunter has decided to pass on the interview. We appreciate the invitation…

Pastor Hunter would be wise to heed the warning issued by his namesake, the prophet Joel “… there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for their treatment of My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and because they have divided My land.” [3:2].

The baseball hat syndrome

The fact that liberals academics are at the forefront of these attacks should raise some eyebrows. Universities, colleges, and establishments of higher education should theoretically be bastions of free thought and exchange of ideas, yet it is from these very institutions that the loudest boycotts and most hateful sentiments emanate.

Israel: The Refining Fire

Israel is a refining fire. It burns away falsehoods and melts away illusions. Mount Herzl, Israel’s military cemetery in the hills of Jerusalem, cradles tens of thousands of the brave young soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for us to live. Not just physiological life full of eating, sleeping, and breathing – but lives infused with meaning, seeking, growing, and truth.

Are we crazy for planning a trip to Israel? Our friends and family think so!

Now that American Fox News has made its way to Israeli cable TV, a colleague of ours mentioned that he was nervous about his upcoming trip to the US. He told us that the terror alert level has just gone from “elevated”(yellow) to “high” (orange). When investigating the governments recommended activities to properly respond to this heightened alert level, he came across the list of elements to be included in the emergency preparedness kit. Due to his lack of hand-crank radios or dust masks, he explained, he was considering canceling his trip and staying home in the relative safety of Israel.

Why teach Christians about Judaism - Aren’t there enough Jews that need to learn?

The Torah was not intended solely for the Jewish people. The Bible begins with a declaration to the world that G-d alone brought the universe into existence and He alone is to be worshiped. The Midrash, an integral part of the Oral Tradition, explains as follows, “The Torah was given in an ownerless place, for if it had been given in the Land of Israel, the nations of the world would say that they had no part in it. Therefore it was given in the desert, and anyone who wished to receive it should come and receive.”

Jewish-Christian Alliance: Practical or Spiritual

Many Jews in America delude themselves into believing that the US is pro-Israel because of Jewish influence such as the political lobby of AIPAC or the ADL. The reality is that America is the only country in the world that takes morality into account in their foreign policy, even when there is a significant price to pay. The primary influence pushing this alliance is the Christian right.
